Top 5 Coachella must-haves

By Lauren Carbran

News flash: one of the most anticipated festivals of the year, Coachella, starts on Friday, 15 April 2016, with celebs including Paris Hilton, Katy Perry and Vanessa Hudgens as regulars. So while we dream of raving to Calvin Harris and hanging out in the desert, here’s what you need if you’re planning to head to a festival or three this season…

Perfume

This is the year to let the florals do the work. We love Ghost Luminous, which mixes violet and jasmine to give you a shot of adrenalin. Or match your denim shorts and crop top, Gigi Hadid’s style last year, with Armani Diamonds Rose, a delicious blend of lily of the valley and freesia.

Face wipes

They’ll be your saviour. Invest in face wipes with hydrating ingredients like cucumber and aloe vera, and take them in your day bag to freshen up. They’re great for wiping away make-up, sweat and dirt, too – rejoice!

Dry shampoo

Unless you’ve been living under a large rock, you’ll know every festivalgoer needs dry shampoo. This great quick fix product will give you smooth and bouncy hair in a few seconds after spraying it on your hairline and roots. Rock the look by scrunching up the ends and messing it up a little. Then, couple with an off-the-shoulder top and some bling (just like Kendall Jenner at last year’s Coachella) and you’ll be insta-ready!

Deodorant

We know you’ll want to smell your best while you’re looking fab, so why not choose a deodorant that complements your fragrance? Layering is officially having a major moment, so it would be rude not to do it! To smell fruity and fresh, match Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever (which combines blackcurrant and grapefruit) with a zesty deodorant spray like Jean Paul Gaultier Classique for her. Delish!

Make-up

We love the summer trend of blue mermaid eyes, as seen on the Diane Von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2016 catwalk. To get the look, apply a baby-blue eyeshadow underneath your eye and sweep into the inner corner and eyelid. Next, blend a darker cobalt blue into the outer corner of your lid. Add a hint of mascara and blushed rosy cheeks and you’re good to go!
