First of all, can we just talk about the bottle? Following in the footsteps of Michael Kors Coral, this ombre peachy bottle is a stunner. Michael Kors Wonderlust fills me with joy because you want to Snapchat and Instagram it till the cows come home. It also caters nicely to my wheat and dairy intolerance, with its top note of almond milk (thanks MK).
Cinnamon? Lime? Sandalwood? Tick! Tick! Tick! This sweet and creamy blend sits naturally on my skin. You can really smell the heliotrope (a sweet, purple flower) and dianthus (pink and spicy) flowers coming through – so you floral fans will be in your element.
I’m more of an aquatic/subtle-scent gal, but somehow Wonderlust gives me the same effect as my fresh faves, such as Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey Pure and Lacoste Eau de Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Elegant, but with a little more warmth. And I love it.
Where would I wear it? Honestly, in the office every day. Wonderlust uplifts me, which a lot of florals don’t (I find some too sickly). But when I smell this and forget my bank balance, I’m transported to a luxury escape – with chic white sofas, mojitos, DJs and all. Private jet, anyone?
The boyf loves it, too. His nose twitches when I wear sweet, syrupy scents, but he instantly befriended Wonderlust. ‘You should wear it more often,’ he said (mini fist pump).
I think this is a fragrance that will appeal to all ages. I could imagine a fresher wearing it, but also a sophisticated businesswoman. And if Wonderlust was an emoji, it would TOTALLY be the sunset.
I’d keep an eye out for this one, people. Michael Kors Wonderlust will be coming off the shelves like hotcakes…
