Why the new Paco Rabanne fragrance is the raunchiest yet

By Lauren Carbran

Stop what you’re doing. It’s time to get to know the raunchiest launch of the year – Paco Rabanne Pure XS for him. Girls, grab it for your man. Guys, spritz it whenever you want to ooze sex appeal (which should be all the time, obvs). And we’re falling for it pretty quickly…

1. It’s inspired by sex

We’re not kidding. It’s not every day you hear of a fragrance inspired by the act itself. But all you need to know is that the Paco Rabanne Pure XS man likes to be bad (take that as you will). Oh, and have you realised that XS practically spells out sex backwards? A daring step in the fragrance industry…

2. The campaign face will leave you breathless

Think of a hot male model, then times that thought by 643,958,444 (you get the picture). Portuguese model Francisco Henriques (who’s only 22, we’ll have you know) plays the heartthrob in the TV advert, who runs his bath, gets undressed and leads the group of girls spying on him into mass hysteria – possibly the reaction you could have when you smell Paco Rabanne Pure XS for the first time.

3. The smell is smouldering hot

Raunchy doesn’t come near doing Paco Rabanne Pure XS justice. The perfumers’ brief was to create ‘a smouldering shiver’ in a bottle, resulting in a smell that will make your senses burn with pleasure and desire. It’s down to the fresh oriental smells of icy ginger (an aphrodisiac, too), masculine thyme, soft cinnamon and rich vanilla. And it’s all yours for £47 for 50ml or £64.50 for 100ml.
