The smallest things can lift our spirits – chocolate, a shopping spree, makeup. My list could go on and on…
When I was asked to test The Perfume Shop’s new range of makeup brushes for the Look Good Feel Better campaign, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. And it’s for a great cause.
To support women with cancer, the Look Good Feel Better charity has launched its Angled Blending Brush, Flawless Complexion Sponge, Makeover Brush Set and Angled Contour Brush. Surely the Kardashians’ dream!
I decided to get creative. Having a pale complexion, I went for a light-brown eye colour, using a range of shades from the W7 In The Buff Eye Colour Palette. The shades give you the option to go for a lighter eye, like I did, or extreme smoky eyes. I used the brushes in the Makeover Brush Set to apply the eyeshadow and the Angled Blending Brush to blend the shades together.
Then I filled in my eyebrows with the light-brown shade in the W7 Brow Parlour, which made them look really natural.
The Angled Contour Brush worked incredibly well with my bronzer and felt lovely and soft on my cheeks. It was one of my fave brushes. I then used the Flawless Complexion Sponge to blend in my highlighter and bronzer.
All the brushes are nonabrasive and soft, and – best of all – they’re cruelty-free. This really is a fantastic makeup kit; I’d recommend it to everyone.
