Life bottled: #TEAMTPS tell you how to stay fresh on a plane

By Lauren Carbran

Now that the sun has (finally) come out, we can start thinking about summer. And nothing beats smelling great as you jet away to your dream hol. So fear not, Bethany Hall from #TEAMTPS is here to tell you how to smell fresh at 37,000 feet. You’ll be travelling like a profesh in no time…

Pack a citrus perfume for your journey

‘Choose a perfume with notes of bergamot or orange blossom to keep you smelling fresh at high altitude,’ says Bethany. Our faves are Paco Rabanne Olympéa Aqua, which blends bergamot zest with vanilla, and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Eau Fraiche Betty Boop, which cools you down instantly, thanks to its notes of orange blossom and lemon sorbet. If that doesn’t get you excited for your vacay, nothing will. Now, who’s ready for the beach?

Know when to spritz it

Your journey may be long, but it will only take a second to smell fresh. ‘Spray your perfume at the departure gate before boarding and just before landing,’ says Bethany. ‘That way you’ll feel relaxed as you step onto the plane and incred when you step off.’ What more could you ask for? Say hello to the most fragrant traveller in town – you!

‘You only need to spritz your perfume once,’ says Bethany. ‘Fragrances like Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Rosa Excelsa for her and Hugo Boss Boss The Scent for him will give you instant flavour in one spray.’ Remember, the last thing you want on a plane is your fellow passengers complaining about your perfume fetish! Trust us. We know it’s hard, but as soon as you reach your destination, you can spray to your heart’s content. Whoop!

Remember the other essentials

Listen up, guys: perfume isn’t all you need to stay fresh. Your other travelling saviours are face wipes (opt for cucumber for extra freshness), deodorant, lip balm and hand sanitiser. With these in your hand luggage, you’ll have #winning written all over you.
