NYFW has us hooked! Yep, for the last few days we’ve been eyeing up the coolest trends on the catwalk for spring/summer 2018. So here they are with the perfect scents to match (cos co-ordinating your fashion and perfume is totally in)…
1. Luscious lavender
Yes, us perfume addicts certainly love lavender, but it was clear from the Tom Ford catwalk that the fashion world totally backs our favourite ingredient, too – through colour. We saw metallic lavender puffa jackets and pastel lavender trousers. The overall trend was ladylike and ultra stand-out, so we’ll definitely be wearing it along with our fave lavender scent, Guerlain Mon Guerlain for her (lavender, sandalwood and vanilla), which is only £45 for 30ml, £68 for 50ml or £96 for 100ml.
2. Candy cane stripes
Sweet tooth? This is the trend for you. The candy cane striped trend was seen all over NYFW, but we particularly loved the shirt dress at Monse, which we’d like to wear all day, pretty please. It’s perfect for our 2018 summer holiday, especially as we’re planning to spritz Prada Candy Gloss (£44 for 30ml, £59 for 50ml, £75 for 80ml), which mixes almond, vanilla and sour cherry (think wafts of Pick ‘n Mix).
3. Mini florals
Big-print florals are so last summer, says S/S18. That’s right, it’s all about the delicate micro florals this time, which are perfect for day time. Our fave was the off-the-shoulder jumpsuit seen at the Brock Collection, which we literally can’t take our eyes off. And what better perfume to suit it than Gucci Bloom (£52 for 30ml, £72 for 50ml, £99 for 100ml) – a sophisticated blend of tuberose and jasmine bud. We’re obsessed.
